This December I’m doing something a little different!
At the invitation of the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce, and in collaboration with the Mill Valley Arts Commission, I will be exhibiting some of my favorite images that I’ve captured in my travels across the United States and Canada. From a Golden Gate lookalike in Vancouver, British Columbia, to a birdseye view of Midtown Manhattan – there’s a little something for everyone.
Come kick off the exhibition (and enjoy some free wine) at December’s First Tuesday Artwalk. Details below:
Date: December 3, 2024
Time: 5:30-7:30pm
Location: Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center (85 Throckmorton Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941)

MORAINE MORNING
A jewel in the Canadian Rockies, Lake Moraine in the province of Alberta attracts visitors from all over the world. I have fond memories of clear skies, and crispy mornings in the winter and balmy, tranquil, days of summer. Lake Moraine is now only accessible by a shuttle, but is worth the detour during your next trip to Canada.

SAM'S
Looking for a an escape from San Francisco? A quick drive or sail across the Golden Gate Bridge will land you in Tiburon – home of Sam’s Cafe. There’s nothing like enjoying a beautiful summer afternoon with one of their signature frozen espresso martinis while taking in the San Francisco skyline. At night, their neon signs are a spectacle that light up Main Street.

LION'S RUN
Shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, this print captures the bustle of activity as travelers make their way to North Vancouver via the Lions Gate Bridge. Despite its name, there are no giant steel cats that guard the bridge. The “Lions” are actually a pair of mountain peaks north of the city.

HYDE
The hills of San Francisco offer views in all directions, and Hyde Street offers one of the most spectacular. A clear day, with an unobstructed view of Alcatraz, sets the stage for a beautiful sunset reflected on Marin County in the background.

EMPIRE
On a recent visit to New York, I was determined to get a different perspective on the usual tourist spots. This photo of the Empire State building was captured by hanging out the door of a helicopter, 7,500ft in the air. As someone with a moderate fear of heights, I’m still not quite sure how I pulled that off, but happy with the results nonetheless!

FALL RHAPSODY
Pinpointing the last day of Fall can be hit-or-miss in Canada, but I was determined to find the best colors with the lowest volume of foot traffic. Pink Lake, located in Gatineau, Quebec, was the perfect spot. A 10km (6.2 mile) hike brought me to this landing, and is one of my favorite Fall images.

THE PARIS AT NIGHT
While Paris, France may seem far away, the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada provides some amazing late night views. One of my very first prints, this internationally acclaimed and published piece remains one of my favorites.
